Stupid Bicycle Seats

Yes... I feel they are a bad design! Its like giving yourself a wedgie! Who's butt is gonna fit that tiny triangular torture device! Should make the seats wider...hmmmm...

I have not ridden a bicycle for more then 2 years, plus since our shortest bicycle was stolen when the police actually raided our void deck bicycle stand, saying only one bicycle is allowed to one stand. Others had yellow warning tags but ours along with many was taken away! No ealier warning was given too. And somehow 2 of our bikes was missing when we check back to collect from them! How can they let it be stolen right under their noses and if others got back theirs, it doesn't explain why they don't have ours unless they just released the bikes to whoever posed as the owners on that very day without questioning their ownership. Till now we don't know what happen and there has been no compensation. Luckily for my bro's more expensive one we persuade our mom to keep it indoors. It really angers me (arghhhhhhhh!)

Oh yah back to the topic! Like I said I went to chalet and I haven ridden for a very long time. So when Uncle Ricky and kids suggested we rent bikes for 1 hour, I was quite up to it, though i was still thinking... in the rain??? Thankfully the heavy rain became a very light drizzle. The application however was erm...long. We kept bringing the wrong recepit that the office needed for the rental. Luckily Gwen found a bike that was not locked so we had her ridding back to our chalet which was rather inside the compound. Poor girl and Ryan had to run and ride back and forth 4-5 times before we finally got it right! It took 30mins or so. We even told a group of teens who also wanted to rent that 4 of the bike were already booked by us even though we were still in the midst of bringing the right reciept! Well.... it wasn't really a lie!

The ride started off exhilerating! Then it began... the soreness! The more I rode, the more my butt felt like exploding! We cycled from changi to east coast park, stopping at the first bicycle rental shop we passed. Ian was totally out of breath (first time for me since he's very into cycling). Suddenly it occured to us that we left 15min due in the rental! Gwen and I gossiped and we were rather slow so our ride took 30 mins but now we raced without talking! I paddled till I couldn't feel my legs!Plus I was the slowest since I was not that atheletic to begin with. Gwen and I were lucky to get the shorter bike as they are more sturdier and smooth (Like the stunt bikes). The one Uncle Ricky, Ian and Ryan took was the larger ones however thay the gears and chain may have problems if they rode too quicky. There was heavy rain in the early afternoon so there were many many wet puddles the soaks your legs and shoes, pants and the back of your T-shirt while creating splashes. Plus the occassional srpay in the face and mouth if you face a racing Gwen in front of you!

Fortunately we reached just in time! (YESSSS! Or else Uncle Ricky had to pay for another extra hour!) When I got off, seriously, I took 3 steps and my legs gave way. LOL. We came back with one injury though. Seems that Ryan cycled too fast and the bike hit against a small crack on the road and flung him over and ahead. Luckily the wound on his elbow was not deep. Now he has a real reason why he skipped volleyball training that day he says! Just when I was thankful that is was rather dry, it started to rain...First time I washed my hair consequetively for 4 days...Urgh.. so dry and tangly.

Later on at night, Gwen managed to finally persuade Lydia to join us in swimming! Another activity I haven done for God knows when! We wanted to swim the day before but we went to late so in the end we soaked for less then 10min before the lifeguards chased us out! Now we were the last to leave with plenty of time! Louisa and Gwen couldn't float (I don't know why...-_- it came naturally for me and Lydia... we tried teaching but it didn't work so if anyone knows a way pls let me know!) We also found a jacuzzi area! The tubs were cold and littered with leaves but... hey what the heck! But we manage to find one (which all 4 of us including Louisa, squeezed in like sardines...I had Louisa's legs in my face!) which was actually warmer and had flashing colour lights plus the pump pressure was higher so the tub literally looked like a hot bubbling pot!(Man I feel like a chicken in a broth...) But with so many in the tub, the temperature dropped a little and one can't really feel much of the pressure except at your butt!

Really enjoyed the trip! I would say best chalet stay! Though it left me with an aching butt (eh! no wrong ideas k!) and aching knees...lol... Oh! "Camp Rock" is on now! GTG!
